SCHMITZUNIVERSE
About us

One company became a structure

Schmitz Universe did not begin as a concept but in practice: from events, services and digital products that are actually run.

Origin

How this came about

It started with events. Anyone who plans, produces and markets them quickly sees where things break down: finding suppliers, scheduling staff, transport, space and billing.

Each of those bottlenecks turned into its own venture – a platform, a service business, a piece of software. At some point it became clear that these ventures share more than a founder: they need the same brand, the same technology, the same sales and the same administration.

Schmitz Universe is the consequence. Instead of building each venture separately, a shared structure emerges in which new companies can be created faster and at lower cost than the first one.

Values

What we want to be measured by

Honesty about the stage

We label what exists and what is planned. Ambition does not replace substance.

Building, not announcing

Ventures are only marketed publicly once they can actually deliver.

Reliability

Written agreements, clear responsibilities, traceable billing.

The long term

We build companies meant to last – not projects built for a sale.

Regional roots

The starting point is our own region. Internationality is a goal, not a claim.

Responsibility

Commercial success should give something back – that is what a planned non-profit foundation is intended for.

Founder

Jonas Schmitz

Jonas Schmitz is an entrepreneur and the initiator of Schmitz Universe. His vision is to build diverse companies, brands and platforms and connect them through shared structures.

His approach is operational: events, services and digital products are run first-hand before they become an offering for others. That practice determines which tools get built – and which do not.

He currently leads strategy, brand building and corporate development across all ventures. As the structure grows, operational responsibility is intended to move step by step into the individual companies.

Governance

Structure and responsibility

  • Parent company: strategy, brand, central services
  • Companies: operational responsibility and their own numbers
  • Holdings: contractually governed, legally supported
  • Reporting: uniform standards across all units
  • Foundation: separate from the commercial structure

Current status

Schmitz Universe is currently run as Jonas Schmitz's sole proprietorship; a GmbH as parent company is planned. Until it is incorporated, ventures are run through the existing structures. Registry data, management and shareholdings will be published as soon as they are available.

Region and network

Rooted, but not limited

The starting point is Germany. Platforms and digital products are multilingual from the outset because they are not bound by national borders.
